If you haven't planned your spring break Trip this year now is the time analysts Say the demand is picking up and driving Up travel and hotel rates Hayley Berg Joins us now to discuss she's a lead Economist for the travel app Hopper Thanks for joining us we bought our Plane tickets like months and months and Months ago and then we didn't do Anything else and I'm so glad I bought My plane tickets but boy I wish I had Booked hotels at the same time as well Because now we're getting jammed up so I Understand how flexible should Travelers Be if they are looking to score a deal While vacationing this spring break I Know you usually only have like you know A week but maybe a day here A Day there Might make a difference on the price Absolutely when you travel is one of the Key ways to get a deal take traveling in The middle of the week if you can fly For a week-long vacation Tuesday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Wednesday you Can save about a hundred dollars per Ticket on a domestic flight about a Hundred and fifty dollars per ticket on An international trip so just by Shifting those dates takes a little Flexibility with school or work Schedules you can save significantly on Airfares that are right now about 20 Percent higher than than last year I Will take that extra 150 bucks
