Fabio Lisanti just moved from London to
Paris a few days ago. How are you?
Good. Citigroup is planning to double its
staff in Paris. Building a brand new second trading
floor. Traders, sales, structures. You have A whole ecosystem of markets, people
moving to Paris. And when you look at it as an
opportunity for staff like myself to Move, Paris is a lovely city.
Banks are looking at Paris as a pool for Talent with experienced traders who
create complex derivatives At Societe Generale, Natixis or BNP
Paribas. There's enormous amounts of talent
locally and there's some very strong Domestic players which have grown this
talent. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley
and Bank of America have all beefed up Operations here.
France is now also home to the largest European stock exchange by market cap.
London used to be the largest financial Center of the European Union.
And everybody liked it. Today, London is the largest financial
center of the United Kingdom. The Euronext CEO says the trend could
become more acute in the long term as Fewer young Europeans come to study in
London. Even though the number of relocations
from London remains below the 10,000 Expected at the time of Brexit.
