Wow drama right we're two weeks away in Amazon says actually don't use FedEx House FedEx taking yeah not so well but I mean that's a history of bad blood Between the two companies also the Amazon's being spending huge amounts of Money on its own delivery service and They want to reduce their own reliance Had already shifted away from using FedEx but their own prime deliveries but I guess has told you they're looking at They track this stuff probably minute by Minute and they're saying that actually You know FedEx is not delivering against Their one day prime guarantee and you Know that becomes too much of a problem They'll end up having to kind of refund Customers and their service would all Kind of suffer so I think they're kind Of protecting their own brand reputation And the services where their customers Over the Christmas period which is Obviously huge what does it mean FedEx Can they up their game or does it Benefit competitors to FedEx I think Clearly in the short term it benefits Competitors myself just being UPS in the Short term I mean you would think that FedEx would want to get back into this And you know this is a kind of a bit of A standoff between two pretty big Companies you know both huge in the kind Of logistics game I would imagine that At some point next year both sides would
Want to have the flexibility of working With each other but you know I think That's you know a few months away at Least I think it's such short notice is Going to be a backlash against Amazon I Don't think so really I mean I think I'll see some merchants have kind of Complained that it's really short notice But you know they would have had Multiple options around how they're Delivering stuff anyway and yeah I think It's in their interests if they're not Kind of living up to that kind of One-day expectations so I think Certainly for Amazon I don't think There'll be a backlash name yeah what's How's FedEx doing overall you know I Think it's doing okay minister yeah it's A huge logistics company but you know I Think that whole kind of area is just Going through such a kind of radical Pivot and technology now Amazon planned To invest in drones and they've already Got robots so I think that evolution of Logistics globally is only just starting Really is Amazon going to do really well Over the holiday period I mean I think They've been they've been quite quiet You know I think certainly the kind of Guidance they gave at q3 for q4 was a Little bit softer on revenue than people Expected not much but a little bit and I Think they were just talking that you Know it's not more big numbers which
Have such a bacala season now There's only so much we can do but you Know they're kind of really pushing the One-day delivery this year you know They're kind of going right up to the Wire in terms of when you can order Stuff to get it before Christmas so They're kind of giving everybody Opportunity they can to boost the sales
